RocketPort uPCI Replacement Schedule

Effective December 31st, 2008 the Comtrol RocketPort uPCI products listed below will be removed from our “active” product offering, may not be in inventory and will only be available through Comtrol distributors as Build To Order (BTO) products.

Last Time Purchase Opportunity

No last time buy opportunity will be offered, however the products will remain available for sale as BTO products.

Built to Order Policy

Build to order (BTO) products may be ordered through authorized Comtrol distributors or directly from Comtrol. BTO products have a non-cancelable, non-refundable minimum order quantity of 100 units and are normally subject to a 12-16 week lead-time.

Distributor Stock Rotations

Distributors have until January 31, 2009 to return inventory of any product retired by this notification. Products retired by this notification will not be accepted after this date.

Migration to RocketPort INFINITY and RocketPort EXPRESS

The Comtrol RocketPort INFINITY product offerings are suitable for use in the same systems supported by the RocketPort uPCI products. RocketPort INFINITY products provide enhanced data communication speeds and support for RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 serial communications. The RocketPort EXPRESS products provides the same level of functionality as the RocketPort INFINITY products, but are designed to be compatible with PCI Express expansion slots.
