MINNEAPOLIS — February 20, 2008 … Comtrol Corporation announces the release of Microsoft certified Vista drivers for its full line of PCI Express and PCI-X serial expansion cards. The “Certified for Windows Vista” logo identifies the Comtrol RocketPort EXPRESS and RocketPort INFINITY product lines as fully designed and tested for the latest 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft operating system. Meeting the rigorous Microsoft certification requirements by passing Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) testing signifies that RocketPort EXPRESS and RocketPort INFINITY cards qualify at the highest levels for ease of use, performance, and compatibility with Windows Vista, as well as the Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems.
The Comtrol RocketPort EXPRESS and RocketPort INFINITY multiport serial card lines provide in-server serial port expansion utilizing the PCI Express and PCI-X expansion buses. All cards are low profile, making them suitable for use in both standard PCs and low-profile servers. The new RocketPort families accommodate up to 128 ports per system, and all products support software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial communication modes to provide countless connectivity options.
