Embedded Software Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for embedded systems software development and support including the generation of software specifications, analysis of software systems, coding and testing of software modules, and generation of related documentation. Also participates in hardware design and assists in debugging new hardware.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Specify, develop and verify system and application software for embedded systems
Maintain existing software including trouble shooting, fixing bugs and improving system functionality
Work as part of a team developing program specifications for new systems
Code and test product software
Provide technical guidance and support to other Comtrol employees and outside contractors
Assist with hardware design and debug

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years experience programming embedded systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with GNU tools and development in a Linux environment
TCP/IP networking experience is desirable
